- Met PC-8001 and MZ-80K at a local radio shop (also found TRS-80, but he was an uneasy guy)
- Thought that he would like to work with computers in the future. It was this moment that decided the direction his life would take.
1993-2002
- Joined PFU, Ltd.
- Responsible for framework design of HyperComposer/C++, a visual application builder for Solaris
- Designed integration API specifications for a governmental security-system project
- Designed and developed i-Remu, a multicast distribution system based on Java
- Responsible for designing a back-end distribution server for a cell phone music distribution system
1996
- Sent to ICL in Bracknell, UK (for 9 months)
- Co-developed migration tools for the groupware product TeamWARE with on-site engineers
2002
- Moved to San Francisco to join the American subsidiary of Cybozu, Cybozu Corporation
- Supervised the development of Share360, a multilingual groupware over the Cybozu AG, Japanese version of Cybozu groupware
- Improved automation-build, release management and bug-tracking systems in all Cybozu companies
2003
- Visited to Japanese Cybozu (for 5 months)
- Started a new development project for CyDE2, a next-generation Cybozu Web-based application framework, in association with (Hata and Hirotaka Yamamoto). (project code name: Azalea)
2004
- In charge of investigation of world IT businesses and development technology trends from U.S. office for Cybozu head office, Tokyo
2005
- Invited to join Cybozu Labs, Inc. due to the closure of U.S. Cybozu Corporation
- Started column series on japan.internet.com (also on related sites, Yahoo! Japan, etc.) around how to outsource website, fortnightly
