CBL Partial Updater is an Ajax library for PHP. Unlike other libraries, all operations are controlled by the server side. (hereafter, Cybozu Labs) (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mr. Shinya Hata) welcomed Mr. Kazuho Oku to its staff. Mr. Oku is internationally renowned for his many achievements in software development, such as Palmscape, a Web browser for use with the Palm OS. Cybozu Labs undertakes the research and development of software that promotes information sharing for use all over the world, and hope to make further advances in this field with the aid of Mr. Oku.

The work of Mr. Oku is highly acclaimed outside of Japan, and he was the only Japanese engineer selected in the top 100 young innovators (TR100) by Technology Review, a magazine designed for technology professionals published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for his work in 1997 developing Palmscape, a Web browser for use with the Palm OS.
