I just released a new version of CBL Partial Updater.
In this release, I added support for spinners. By adding a spinner imae object to the HTML and specifying it in a JavaScript function call, 
will be displayed while AJAX requests are being processed.
Joining Cybozu Labs, I started looking at AJAX. However, the existing libraries that I found all seemed to me a bit too complicated. So I decided to write my own; CBL Partial Updater, that focuses on conversion of current PHP scripts to AJAX apps.
CBL Partial Updater is an AJAX library for PHP. Unlike other libraries, all operations are controlled at the server side. Using the library, it is very easy to add AJAX features to existing PHP applications. Just add a few lines to your PHP and HTML, and your web application turns into an AJAX app.
An example is located here. As you can see, existing PHP scripts can be converted into AJAX apps in less than a minute.

Hello to whom reading this weblog, my name is Kazuho Oku.
In August, I joined Cybozu Labs and started writing OSS libraries for web applications. Now that they are becoming ready for release, I decided to start my weblog in English*1, since it seems the best way to release softwares and get feedback.
*1: I already have two weblogs in Japanese, that are already becoming a bit hard for me to continue. They are Kazuho@Cybozu Labs (my weblog at office) and Kazuho Oku's Blog (personal one).
