2ちゃんねるの血を引く英語圏の匿名掲示板4chanを中心に大掛かりなイタズラが展開されたようで、「iOSを7にアップグレードしたら防水機能がつく」という話を信じてしまった人もいるようです。

Due to the increased cpu efficiency algorithm with the update, the iOS7 can now survive 99% of exposure to water accidents.
